Learn From Others, Think For Yourself
There are times in our lives when we rely on others to teach us skills, show us the proper way, and guide us towards being our best selves. There are other times when what is shown to us is not helpful. It is a skill in itself to be able to identify what information nurtures us, and what hinders us, and that skill begins with awareness. This Mantra is for focusing on taking the information you’ve gained from sources outside of yourself, and processing it critically to decide what makes sense to keep for yourself, and what to let go. This image depicts being “in the orbit” of sources outside of yourself, and feeling that gravitational pull of those influences. It also shows a kind of Venn diagram by which one can compartmentalize information.
